About Me
My name is Vera Zwerver, a multifaceted Multimedia Designer, and I'm all about creative expression.
From eye-catching posters, animated video edits, stylish flyers and brochures, and compelling narratives, I aim to spread the message in the most memorable and appropriate medium available.
Thanks to a foundation found in my education Communication & Multimedia Design, I discovered how to express my passion for storytelling through any medium possible. Through my work as graphic designer, video editor and writer, I proceed towards my goal: to become a prolific storyteller who can tell a client's story through engaging media.

Multimedia Designer at Elysee Dental
January 2020 - Present
At the end of January 2020 I was hired as multimedia designer at Elysee Dental, a company specialising in dental techniques. My work here mostly resolves around designing catalogues, brochures, flyers, vouchers, and business cards, but I was also responsible for video editing, designing social media posts, and making office related documents.
As the only graphic designer/multimedia designer at Elysee Dental, I had to take a lot of responsibility and teach myself skills and working with programs I had little experience in at the start of my career.
Copywriter
at MediaMarkt
November 2018 - April 2019
I joined the team of copywriters for MediaMarkt as a full-time temporary worker. Aside from providing online products with descriptions and pictures, I also managed the retailer's online reviews and wrote a blog about the latest audio products.
Playgrounder
at Spektor Storytelling
February 2017 - June 2017
I joined the transmedia company Spektor Storytelling as an intern, or "Playgrounder". Here, I worked for five months on three different projects, all revolving around games. I worked as a storyboarder, a concept artist, a character designer and junior script writer.

NHL Hogeschool Leeuwarden
At the NHL, I studied Communication & Multimedia Design. As this education offers a lot of freedom to specialise in what you love, I have spent a lot of time honing my skills in Game Design, 2D Art and Writing. Additionally, I have grown into a great team worker and learned to work with methods like Design Thinking and SCRUM.
2009 - 2013
International Baccalaureate
Additionally to my regular secondary education, I was involved in the IB-program. This focused on a better understanding of the English language and increasing my skill to that of a native speaker's through the study of English literature and creative writing exercises.
2006 - 2013
CSG Liudger Raai Drachten
At this school, I enjoyed a preparatory scientific education (vwo), where I took classes in Biology, Chemistry and Math, along with French, Dutch, English, Art and Music.
